Ok gentlemen (and quite possibly gentlemen who pretend to be ladies on teh interwebs), let me explain something- Since the end of highschool I've been living in a state of Can't Be Asked. I've been working a full time job, doing some school, and drawing's been pushed into a corner of my life rather than be an up front and center part of my life. I couldn't get into the college of humanities arts and social sciences to take art classes because I didn't have a portfolio, and I would have hated to take the entry level art classes where I'd be told to draw squares in perspective again. I will divide this journal into three parts to best cover the current state of affairs, Domestic, Work, and Art.

Domestic:

Due to the economy my father was laid off from his job. Looks like its early retirement for him, and he'll have to find another job. At this point its nothing too serious, but it may start cramping down on my time, and the ammount of time I WANT to stay at home for... which is really the only time I get to do art. We shall see. I've been playing some video games. Recently I snagged Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries from my brother so I've been playing that along with EVE-Online still. You may notice a lot of my work is EVE related, and I'm still obsessed with the universe.

Work:

I'm working close to 40 hours a week these days. Plus school. We closed down the mall front and opened up a small office to do Ebay listings and Ebay listings alone. Our buisness has doubled in the last month and I'm fairly secure in MY job, so enough on that. I like it and I can set my own work schedule. No more silly retail.

Art:

I started work on some figures in late fall early winter. I showed them to a female artist friend of mine and she said 'these women look nothing like women.' Aside from hurting my artistic ego's fealings, she showed me a couple of artistic nudes, and I copied a few of them. I've been working with nudes off and on for three or four months now. Asside from it being a pain to find source that's not from a website of ill-repute, its been a fun and interesting learning experience for me. I've also been playing around with photoshop some. Its not my best area of expertice, and I rarely find time to break away from other computer uses to mess around with it. Still though, I'm enjoying myself. I will be posting my backlog of stuff, nudes not nudes, crap and good stuff.
